RETREAT: Creating Space for Your Heart’s Desire

On Saturday, March 11th enjoy a full day dedicated to the intention of creating space to uncover, explore or deepen your Heart’s Desire.  Deep beneath the layers of the mind and body, you hold your truth.  Spend this day connecting to what’s calling for your attention and devotion.

Hearts Desire

8:30 – 8:45 - Welcome & Gather – Tea & Light Breakfast

9 – 11:30 – Opening Meditation followed by The Hidden  Language of Yoga

As we move through a yoga practice, it can become clear where we hold tension, where we protect ourselves or where we are open.  From here, we  can go even deeper.  Through a guided connection to the practice, you’ll explore the movement in your body as it evolves to curiosity.  For example, what stops me?  What am I holding?  How does it relate to the symbolism of the posture itself?  Deepening self-reflection on the mat, we learn to not only listen to the our body, but our thoughts, our intuition and our past.  A journal will be provided.

Noon – 2:00 – Lunch & Learn:  The Basic Concepts of Traditional Food Preparation

How we fuel our bodies will ultimately help us find the energy to embody our deepest desires. It’s about good food and making it real for you.  While you enjoy a healthy, gluten free lunch, learn about about reducing inflammation in the body and recognizing food is medicine.  Decipher between the real and the hubbub surrounding how best to feed yourself and your loved ones, and uncover the basics of good food and nutrition. What does this mean: we’ll talk real food, what is it, how to do it, and why you would.  She will demo “from scratch” meat stock so you can easily make it at home. You will get some handy tools: a pantry shopping list, a checklist to help you choose good foods to stock in the fridge and freezer. You will get a list of easy swaps for your kitchen, a recipe and know-how to make your own soups from scratch at home.

2:30 – 4:30 – Creating Sacred Space

Your physical environment can be easily balanced, revitalized, and harmonized using various techniques to clear stagnant, unhelpful energy and vibration.
Learn how and when to clear your spaces of unhealthy vibration using techniques such as:
Plant & Sage Smudging, Sound Therapy, Essential Oils, Salts or Gemstones  Create your sacred space wherever you are for greater health and healing.
